（吉辇3日讯）可怜天下父母心！一位曾考获“皇家童军”的活跃青年马冠群，不幸患病而变成植物人，双亲仍未放弃为他寻医的机会，但却面临经济困境而有心无力，因此恳求各界善翁的施舍援助。

家住巴里文打吉辇花园的马冠群（18岁）是一名活跃好动的大好青年，去年刚从吉辇国民型中学毕业，并热衷参与童军团的活动，更於去年成功考获“皇家童军”。

不料，今年初突然间病发，头痛发烧后昏迷2个月，醒来后竟变成毫无知觉的植物人，其手脚也因脑部神经线问题而收缩，医生将其病情诊断为急性播散性脑脊髓炎，并表示束手无策。但是，马氏的父母亲并没放弃，仍然力求其他管道，包括寻找中医治疗。

然而，从事工厂罗里司机马海宗（冠群的父亲）收入有限，每月只有约1400令吉的收入，根本无法为马冠群筹取寻医的费用，而冠群目前还需要母亲庄矞心的贴心照顾，照料费每月都至少须花上逾千令吉，包括购买奶粉、尿片等等。

马海宗（50岁）表示，冠群是在9月杪才出院回家，过去9个月的就医及住院已花上了一笔开销，靠的得过去的储蓄及亲友们的协助，目前经济情况陷入穷途末路，才被迫通过报章向各界善长仁翁求助。

他说，冠群的照料费每月至少千多令吉了，尚不包括调养及其他寻医的费用。由于需长期的调养及寻医，确实需要到的费用目前是无法计算。
